I am us petitioner and I have copies of my final decree (sent to USCIS) but not the original or sealed copies. court told me they don't give original (only sealed copies)

I was trying to order one from court website, do I need a certified copied or raised seal? (it has 3 options 1. certified copied, 2. exemplified copies & 3. raised copies) for the interview? which one should I order?

I need to see if they can send this directly to Turkey instead of me getting here and sending to alien fiancée location. Any help is appreciated.

A certified copy should be sufficient.

So I already have certified document number in each page. does this have to be sealed or can I just send this copy via email to her so she can get a copy of them?

If it has to be sealed i have send order one sealed and send it via mail.

Do you mean that you have a photocopy of the certified copy?

what do the packet 3 instructions from the consulate say, in terms of what type of documents they accept?

Yes I am meant photocopy of certified copy.

I am still waiting to get my case number from NVC so I don't know yet. I am just trying to prepare in advance & I heard from people that applied in Turkey saying they need original divorce decree. when i called the court here, they only have copy of certified copy which is really the same one I already have but they also can send exemplified copies & raised copies to my address. So that was my question

Ah, I see.   In the US, original documents pertaining to vital records (birth certificates, marriage and death certificates) are property of the court/jurisdiction where the event took place.   A certified copy is the equivalent of an original, so it’s the best you can do.

I would order a certified copy and send it to your partner, rather than risk an RFE.

Thanks, do i need to order it via email and send the certified copies via email or order raised copies and send my mail?

I already have copy of decree having certified document number in each page, would that be sufficient or order another one and send by mail to Turkey?

Thanks for your help again

It is not possible to get a certified copy by email.   The raised stamp is a physically present thing.

I know certified copies can be expensive, but to be safe, I’d order one and have it sent via post to Turkey.

Is your partner an Iranian national?   Unfortunately, that much more reason to do everything literally by the book, and decrease the chance for a denial……

The consulates we dealt with were perfectly happy with “certified true copies” with the seal of the court or whatever they stamp on it for the clerk to sign in ink. They usually cost about two bucks

Copies of that are submitted with the petition, the immigrant needs a “true copy” (usually) at the interview

I definitely ordered several certified (raised seal) copies of the final divorce decree and I brought an original certified copy down to my SO prior to the interview (or I would have shipped it DHL or some other carrier to make sure he got it prior to the interview.) For Mexico at least the letter from the CDMX embassy asked for original certified (not copies) or decree, birth certificates, etc.
