Hello,

I'm in the process to request the J-Visa waiver with a non-objection letter from El Salvador and have the same issue as Gperry. I don't find where I need to request the letter, is it with the consulate with the embassy?

Gperry, I see that fortunately, you get the letter, and I know was a long time ago, but can you recommend where I need to contact in order to request the letter.

Thank you so much in advance, any help.

You need to call the consulate in DC and ask them. You are basically waiting here to check IF anyone from El Salvador looks at your post AND they also requested a J1 waiver.

Some consulates are doing Zoom Q&A or appointments. At least mine was doing that.

I had to send my request for no objection waiver to a special email at the Foreign Affairs ministry in my country and they forwarded the letter to the embassy, and I picked it up at the consulate in DC. EVERY country has a different procedure.
