There are several questions that relate to marriage status. Which obe(s) are you asking about?

Only you can say if you consider  yourself in a bonafide married relationship today.

Hi! Check Married if you are still married. if they have questions about it then they will ask them during their interview.

If you have been an LPR for over 5 years, then your marital situation is not relevant to the application. Decide if you are still in a “ marriage” relationship though temporarily  living apart because of work .. or if you are indeed “separated”. Either way,  answer truthfully, but you aren't filing on the basis of an ongoing bonafide relationship so neither answer will impact the application ..

You can fix it the day of the interview! Since you are not legally separated, I would have checked off married. Depending on the immigration officer, they might ask you clarification questions to make sure you had bona fide marriage!
