Do you know if for an I-130 for my spouse, do I need to submit her birth certificate. It does not state anywhere

Yes, you do... Actually you need to fill out an I130A for your spouse when doing the initial petition. The i130 is for the sponsor and the I130a for the beneficiary(spouse).

You'll submit the birth certificate at the NVC stage after the i-130 is approved.

So do you not need to submit this the Spouse birth certificate (The one being petitioned) in the initial I-130 and I-130 submission?

No need to submit the spouse beneficiary's birth certificate with the I-130 petition.  Check the official I-130 form instructions here -- https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-130instr.pdf

Note that the BC (and other civil documents) will need to be submitted to NVC after the petition is approved.

This is wrong.  Beneficiary spouse's birth certificate is not submitted at the petition stage.  It comes later at NVC stage.

Not to argue but initially I was told to do this submission hence I'm only speaking from my experience.  No harm was done when we did it!!!🙃

"I was told" is one of the more famous sources of misinformation.  Best to give correct answers based on actual sources.  "What I did" is also not a correct source for answering direct questions about requirements.  But, you're right, submitting an unnecessary document does no harm.

Do you need to submit? NO

Is it required? NO

Can you submit? YES the same way you can submit any other documents that are not required like educational certificates, police certificates, grocery list. They won't help anyway for the petition.
