It takes around a month for DOS to upload I-612/1-613 on their site. In my case, USCIS sent them on Sept 22/2021 , but DOS showed them as received on October 17/2021.

Do they consider status expiry in processing case? What to do if status expiring with pending waiver. Any idea?

Mine are with them since December 2020. So you got a long way to go. But I hope yours is done asap but expect at least a year.

Any update?

I'm gonna post waiver cases (including 2 hardships) that received favorable recommendations within the past year (similar as our boats). I don't know these people or their circumstances.

I have a Hardship case that had I-612/613 received by DoS on September 2021 and still PENDING.

Looks like they can do it fast if they want. But seeing some hardship cases lingering from long is disappointing.

Hi all,

How are you dealing with long wait times of hardship waiver? My status is expiring in August 2022 and my waiver with DOS since March 2022. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

My next step is i-485 but without waiver, I'll get out of status.

They have mine since September last year. In my opinion you should wait for your waiver approval before changing your status.

I am sure u know it , that u cannot file I-485 Until your waiver is approved otherwise it will be rejected, only thing I can suggest that get your documents for I-485 ready especially medical form immunizations titer , birth certificate so that u cannot file ASAP once u have hardship approval.

A quick unpleasant update:

Yesterday I submitted a congressional inquiry to DOS with a cover letter and supporting documents showing why my situation is urgent. Guess what? Got a rejection of the expedited request this morning!!! I really wish that they process hardship same speed they process these requests..

anyways, let’s hope for the best..
