Lol they are playing catch up now. But man 2021. Why. Did they like process spring cases of 2022 and then stopped? I am just trying to understand the pattern. Any cases from late 2022? Fall maybe of 2022? Also how do you get this info?

Congratulations. If you don’t mind me asking, did you do anything to get them to decide on your case? I know people have been filing a writ or asking to expedite etc

I did nothing but contacting my congressman and he couldn't do anything.

I mean it has been almost two years already

@TonyW just to make sure I understood correctly. You did have a US government as a sponsor, but they never asked for sponsor’s view ?

It's actually not unusual, I saw many cases with government sponsors but no sponsor view shown on their charts. THis included the case approved 09/20/2023 above.

I believe it depends on which government. If it’s US gov funding then they definitely seek sponsor views. If it’s a foreign government sponsor maybe they don’t always do that.

I always thought it was the US governmental fundings (like Fulbright) that we refer to by “Governmental Funding”.

Hmm how do you determine if a specific case had a governmental funding, if it does not show “Request for sponsor’s view”?

She said that her case has gov funding even when no such request for sponsor views was made.

Well, your belief was just wrong. I was speaking out of my first-hand knowledge, in which I KNOW people who got US government funding (by the way, it's more US government funders than Fulbright) and in their waiver process it DIDN'T show "sponsor view".
Two theories:
- That gov funder is no longer operational.
- The DOS reviewer just "forgot" to input that info into the online system.
DOS reviewer division is a very low tech with depleted resource, and made mistakes all the time.
