Does anyone know why this j1hardshipcase web site not working? I tried to access for a week now...

After the admins of visa forum removed all of the conversations related to that page, the site owner decided to take the J1visahardship tracker website down. It is very sad that the owner took it down - They had a tremendous contribution to the community thus far. I hope they reconsider having that tracking website up again so we can see what's going on the DOS level.

Oh why? It was very helpful! SO what the admins removed it here, some of us can still have access to it since we know the web site's name... darn!

Hi, Guys

After filling a writ of mandamus over a month ago

I got my Favorable recommendation my case was at DOS since sept of 2021

Congrats! You did the right thing. If you haven’t filed it, you would have been still waiting until now.

Did the court send them an order to process the case?

Congrat! May I ask what is mandamus and how to file? My case has stayed in DOS for 15 months and I have return to my home country for 5 months. It is a nightmare for our family.

Yes the court did send them an order to process the case as it has been outside of the posted processing times

Congrats! Lawsuits are the only things that work. Did you file yourself or used a lawyer? I've been saving up to file using a lawyer but if I know others have been successful filing by themselves I'll do the same.

Also did you file your lawsuit against DoS or USCIS? Or both?

Thank you, I used a lawyer.

The cost was $5k total

Lawsuit was against both DOS & USCIS
