Did either of you receive governmental funding (Fulbright) ? Surprised to see that they have not asked for sponsor's view yet given how long you two waited already.

As mentioned above I’m ECFMG sponsored and as someone said that’s not considered government fund. No Fulbright.

Maybe it takes more time for ECFMG sponsored applicants? Is there a separate threat for IMGs? maybe we should create one and figure out our own trend/timeline

We have very few data points in total (300 per year) out of those, mayb 10-20 people are writing here from different fundings. Several of these people don't write here when they update either and just move on.

There is no way you can conclude anything scientific from that.

FYI:

"IMPORTANT NOTE:  The Department of State is performing scheduled maintenance to its online Consular systems during August 23- Sept 20, 2022.  During this time, individuals may experience errors in attempting to complete a DS-3035 or check the status of their 212(e)-waiver application.  We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience.  "

This explains the status getting stuck on 8/23/2022 for 48 hours. Here is to good news on 9/21/2022.
