Hi All,

So my husband and I had marriage based AOS interview in the first week of Nov. The officer who interviewed us did not officially say "Case Approved" but she did say that our green card will  reach us in 2-4 weeks. At the end she handed us a copy of a document where she marked our case as "your application/petition has been handed over for approval"

It has already been more than 6 weeks since our interview and our case status on their website still says "Interview was scheduled" dated Sept 29th, 2021.

Does anyone know what the wait time could be after AOS interview and if there is a way to contact their office to find out the progress?

Thanks in advance!

Hello there,

My wife (an US citizen) sponsored my visa and we attended our AOS interview on 11/10/21 at LA Field Office. After the interview, the officer did not say the case approved or not, but she said, if we need further information, we will call you in a week (by 11/17/21). And took my phone number. If you dont get a call from us, your card will be in in a mail by 11/24/21. I did not see my status changed until 12/01/21; it stayed "Interview was scheduled". After 12/01/01, new card is ordered, case approved, etc. In your case, the Holidays is coming in play. Usually, the decision can take up to 90 days. I wish you good luck and you will be happy with the case in your way!

Happy Holidays!

Sateesh
