Hello,

Has anyone been successful to book an immigrant visa interview that was canceled by the embassy but not rescheduled ??

My mother’s Green card case was approved back in 2020 its been over a year now, NVC scheduled an interview appointment for her immigrant visa interview in casablanca, morocco 1 year ago but she didnt go to the interview,

since when we called the embassy no one answered and there was an automatic voicemail saying all appointments have been canceled.

i contacted nvc and they said that there is nothing they can do since her case was transferred to casablanca, morocco US embassy.

i emailed and called the embassy in casablanca but I never got a hold of anyone.

the question is how can I reschedule her appointment ?

Thank you

You'll have contact the consulate.  They have complete control of the case.

She just no-showed?  That was probably not a wise choice.

Yes! Because when we called the voicemail said all appointments were canceled.

Ah.  I thought you meant currently when you call, you get that message.

You will have to just keep trying to reach the consulate directly, since NVC is out of the loop now.

I emailed them and called so many times but no answers. 😞

Time to contact your house representative or senator.  They cannot force the embassy to make a decision, but they can make them provide a response.  This is about the only situation where I would recommend getting your representative involved.

What number are u calling ?

don't call the web page #

What email are u using?

don't email the web page ID for "all inquiries

Please do not use the above telephone numbers for questions related to visas.  For inquiries related to immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, please contact our Visa Call Center at:  support-morocco@ustraveldocs.com or (703) 520-2245 (dialing  from the United States) or +212 (0)520-48-50-13 (dialing from Morocco).  You can find general information about visas on our website.

When u email (or call) include the Case #  both names and both DOB's if u want the CO to find your packet

It does say need to be patient as it may take a long time to get an answer

FYI    fill out your 2021 taxes ASAP (as soon as the forms are on the site and u have W2(s)

as if they do reschedule after 4/15/2022, she will need either IRS transcripts or copy of your 1040 and your W2

they should automatically be rescheduling the interviews that were cancelled and not taking new ones till all are done from 2020
