Passport Pick up Frankfurt

Our tracker says „issued“ and we chose the pick-up option over premium mail delivery. However,

I have no idea how long it may take until we get the email notifying us (we were told we can’t pick it up before said email)…

Has anyone any experience with this?

I am so sorry I am leaning on this forum so heavily and I greatly appreciate all the help I have received in the past five years:

I am (anxiously) waiting to pick up my children‘s passport from the pick-up location of the US Consulate. My daughters passport is ready as of today. My son‘s passport, however, isn’t.

Both have the CEAC status „issued“. Why would one passport remain at the Consulate and the other one is ready?

Are they actually processed together but the email notification just mentions my daughter? (However the passport tracker states that my sons passport is still at the Consulate)

I am nervous as we are flying out very soon. Has anyone had a similar situation?

I am not sure what to do about this? Shall we just assume they are both in the same package and drive for a few hours to get them?

I wouldn't assume anything, It's a risk but your call on whether it's worth it.

Since you're flying out soon, I would make the drive that is the only way you're going to know for sure if they are both there.

If you can get a hold of consular unit I’d also call to verify the second passport isn’t still there. Early release today three hours early.

I would agree. I am concerned that the Consulate may not release passports every day. I was an idiot for booking the flights when I saw my daughters notification as my son‘s communication is handled by my son and husband. I had assumed they would both be available for pick up at the same time.

I do not have a telephone number for Frankfurt.

I am not quite sure what you mean by early release and three hours?

They’re done for the day. If they work regularly until 5 pm they were released early at 2 pm ahead of Christmas holiday.
