Hi everyone! :) I've been here in Manila for 1 year already and I'm just waiting for my medical and interview appointment dates. Do I have to get police clearance from my hometown (Cagayan de Oro)? Or would clearance from Manila suffice? Or I should get both? I just want to be very sure since I will have to ride a plane to go home. Thanks!

hey fellow kagay-anon lol... as far as i know nbi clearance is a nationwide record, so that covers the local police clearance. and that you'll only get a police clearance if you've been out abroad for more than 6 months (like working abroad) from the country that you've been out to... but that's what ive only known. its good to have a 2nd opinion... good luck and God bless

Citizenship N-400

You can get in Manila no need to go back to your hometown , I was in Manila for my processing as well I get one in manila but during the interview they did not ask me for the police clearance . But usually when you 've been out abroad for more than 6 months you need one.
