Please ease my pain somebody! My hubby just added me on utility bills a week ago, so we don't have the bills with both names on them but we have the on-line account info print outs with me there. And the interview is tommorow! My husband says it doesn't matter cause we have a little baby with both of our names on her Birth Certificate. He says there's no more bigger proof than a baby. :D I'm just so nervous and confused with all the paperwork.

We have other bills mailed to both of us on the same address, like medical bills on my name when the baby was born, corresbondance, etc. We have the lease, medical insurance, credit card, tax returns and bank statements. Do you think it's enough? Oh, and also a letter from my in-laws. You think it's enough?

Any advice will be appreciated!

Take a few copies off the online account if it will ease your mind. I know I tried to add my husband to my utilities and they would not so we will just have part of the bills in my name and part in his. Having a bouncing baby is good proof too as well as your other documentation. Wishing you all the best tomorrow.

Good luck. I wouldn't woory. Seems like you have enough evidence. Utility bills are not that important. If you didn't have the other stuff, I would worry about utility bills.

Your baby is all the proof you need.

Bring him/her with you to the interview if you want.

If you read what the visa officer is trying to do, it is to ensure your marriage is not fraudulent, for the purpose of evading the immigration laws.

Having a child together is about the strongest "proof" you can have.

A good friend of mine went through this, and when his wife went into the interview carrying their child with her, the immigration officer, talked about how cute their child was for about 1 minute, then handed them their visa.

You will be fine.

Quit stressing, and welcome to america! I am certain you will have your visa soon.

yeah I cant imagine an officer saying: "I see you have a child, but unfortunately your phone bill isnt in both names so I can hardly imagine that you are not in a fraudulent marriage"

I wouldnt worry too much about it. The baby is the best proof you can have !

We only had one bill in both of our names. It becomes more of an issue when you apply for removal of conditions.

Tell me one thing: Do you know any married couples other than other VJ people, who have both names on their utility bills?

I can't.

Joint bank account, certainly, perhaps credit cards as well, but nobody has two names on the gas bill!
