Fingerprints required?

Hey!

I am preparing for my K1 visa interview at the US embassy in London in early January. On the list of required documents it mentions fingerprints and then also links to a document listing UK police forces who can provide such. It then mentions the ARCO background check in a different paragraph.

 

Do I need to obtain my fingerprint from the UK Police for my interview? I have the ARCO check already.

Note that information is under the heading of “Police Certificate from Other Countries”. Fingerprints are required for obtaining some foreign police certificates. Australia used to require them. If you haven’t lived in another country besides the UK since age 16, then that section doesn’t apply to you.

Thank you again sir. I was just confused as they provide a link to UK Police stations who provide fingerprinting services. Good news though, thanks.
