You can apply for a passport right after getting your Certificate of Naturalization. However If you have an urgent travel (within 14 days) and you can establish it by an itenrary, you can request an appointment at a Passport Agency. You will get your passport the following day along with the certificate. 

Perfect thanks! You get this certificate at the oath ceremony or have to wait for mailing?

We're still waiting for our schedule since 8/31.

I believe u call USCIS and speak to Tier 2 to see what is going on,

 

also it may show ur oath ceremony on ur login USCIS as well.

No, you cant request Oath schudule. USCIS will inform you once it is scheduled!

CONGRATS... I already packed my bag with my orginal docs n copies n all my ids and interview card n placed that bag in the car... nervous as hell. 

 

Same day oath, thats AMAZING..

How was it???

It took 30 minutes my interview because I stay more than 6 months outside in US because my husband was US government contractor in military base at middle east. I give a lots of documents like bills here and the officer was so nice.

Yay, finally the end of the journey is getting close for me as well. My interview was today and I passed!! Oath is scheduled for next month.

 

So long story short, my interview was initially scheduled in August, but I asked for it to be rescheduled due to a planned trip overseas. Then it got rescheduled for November, and USCIS cancelled it for a reason unknown to me.

Finally it got rescheduled one final time (today). The officer was nice and professional, and I took less than 30 minutes.

 

The whole rescheduling thing definitely delayed the whole process by several months for me, but I don't regret doing it (I would have missed my brother's wedding overseas otherwise).

 

Congrats to everyone who passed! 🥳

K-1 Visa Timeline AOS Timeline

- Aug 31st, 2011 - Mailed I-129F package - May 29th, 2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

- Apr 13th, 2012 - Visa received - Aug 24th, 2012 - Green Card received

ROC Timeline

- May 19th, 2014 - Mailed ROC package to CSC

- Aug 8th, 2014 - Green Card received

N-400 Timeline

- Dec 29th, 2021 - Filed online. Got notice that biometrics will be reused.
