That’s ok. If I were you, I’d add a brief note in the cohabitation section explaining this.

DOH!  Thought I had added that in already.  Thanks for catching it!

    • Note: This property is jointly owned by husband and his father and was purchased in June of 2003. Husband and his father are currently researching the procedure to transfer ownership from father to wife.

Perfect. Also, I’ve noticed that you have two bullet points listing form I-551 (permanent resident card). You only need one copy.

Well, my window opens on January 29th. I was going to mail it on February 4th, but I have been working sooo much on this package that, in a way, I can't wait to get it out of my hands! Right now it is almost ready. Yesterday I went to Staples and spent a good hour making a copy of it.

I am only missing the G1145, and January statements.

This is what we have, I would love to get some input:

Looks good to me!  You've got a hell of a lot more stuff than I do!

The only thing I would change is I'm not sure you need to send the expired car insurance policies.  Granted, sending all of them does show continuous joint financial responsibility and more evidence is better, but I'm only sending the current policy.  This is where a little bit clearer instructions from USCIS would be nice.

Yep, did a normal size copy and an enlarged.  Not sure if one is better than the other, so I'm sending both.

Our window opened a month ago, but we just finally got working on it.  Should be out the door no later than the 17th.

Well, there’s a line on the i751 instructions that says something along the lines of “covering the whole period of marriage” or something like that. I’m usually a very literal person and I follow instructions to the T. I thought it wouldn’t hurt to send them, and they don’t add weight to the package. But now I’m not sure.

Looking at the instructions now - page 5 - Evidence of the Relationship

Submit copies of as many documents as you can to establish this fact, to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to the present date......

Well boogers.  We got married in 2019, got green card in 2020.  I can only access 18 months of statements from one of my credit unions, the other I'm not sure.  I definitely don't have old insurance cards from 2019 or 2020. I feel the package we're putting together should be enough to prove that we're not a sham marriage.

Friend of mine went through this a few years ago.  He said he sent maybe a couple dozen pages total.  Just a few bank statements showing joint ownership and some pictures.  Makes me feel like I'm going overboard, but again, I'd rather give them plenty of stuff so they don't doubt us.

@Rocio0010 are your IRS tax returns Transcripts or the w-2s, 1040s etc? Transcripts are best, but at this late stage since you are nearly ready to send off your packet I would not wait for transcripts if indeed you do not have them. Otherwise you are ready! Looks like your packet is HUGE did those ACCO clips work for you?

4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 3 days

Citizenship Complete!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

They are IRS transcripts. Less paperwork!
I bought the ACCO clips and yesterday as I was copying the package I did the double hole punch at the top. I was waiting for a few more days to do a final review, add the last statement/ bills and then put the whole Godzilla -sized package together lol. So we’ll see if they work. If they don’t work, my b plan is to clip the sections together (with binder clips) and then put a rubber band holding the package together.

Oh, I still need to write the cheque, too.

Caution: Once you get your packets together and nearly ready to send DO NOT START second guessing yourself...that's where the mistakes come on at...just a friendly tip! Some people include only the bare minimums and get approved some people send the kitchen sink and get approved, it's a matter of personal choice and how YOU do things, as long as they do not distract from the submission. Going over your packets one last time is a no brainer, but second guessing will get you into trouble every time!!!!!

definitely don't have old insurance cards from 2019 or 2020. I feel the package we're putting together should be enough to prove that we're not a sham marriage.

Yeah I wouldn’t sweat it. In my case I have high functioning anxiety, so the more prepared I am, the bigger piece of mind if that makes sense. So as soon as my AOS got approved, I made an envelope called “ROC evidence”, and I started collecting evidence there, such as insurance cards, etc etc. It really helped me prepare for ROC I think. But you should be fine too. @Timona knows of a case that sent nothing but just the i751 form and got approved too. But to each their own; I’m just not that relaxed lol.

Again there is no reason those ACCO clips won't work as long as they are the 3". If they do not work then your packet is extra huge LOL!!!

For piece of mind, I am not removing any of the evidence. I covered the whole period and that’s what they want. My piece of mind says to follow instructions and give them what they want.

I’ll try next weekend. It’s just that the monthly bank statements add tons of paper!
