I mean, we might have this interview waived too... Stranger things have happened with USCIS. The good news for me is that Ohio seems to be relatively fast. The problem is the bottleneck it has to go through until it gets to the FO.

I knew what you meant I was saying due to the fact that not many couples get waived for both AOS and ROC these days...that is why I'm sure we will interview, but you are right stranger things have happened.

Glad to join this thread.

I can’t believe it’s been almost two years already. It seems just yesterday when I crossed the Canada-US border the day before they shut it down.

Window opened on December 20, but filed via UPS today. Fingers crossed.

There may be a chance - had I enter the country 8 months later and obtained my 10-year card, I nor my wife would have needed an interview.

CR1s don’t AOS -hence no interview. Most likely you’ll have a ROC interview.

I get the idea.

Has I waited a couple of months to cross the border (>two years after marriage), I would not have to go through this process for ROC. So theoretically, it is possible an interview may be waived.

Either way, whatever comes my way I am ready.

Can't believe we are here already!

We are another couple that had our AOS interview waived. The earliest our packet can be sent in is Jan 22nd but will send the 24th. Our packet is mostly prepared.

I can send mine Jan 23rd… praying we get ours waived too! How soon after sending the packet are people being notified the interview is waived?

We didn't have an interview for AOS so it's highly likely we will have an interview for ROC. Typically the ROC interview is waived if you had one for AOS. I can only hope with all the evidence we are sending that it will be waived.

My interview for AOS was on the last day before they stopped in person interviews for the first lockdown. We were approved conditionally at the interview - the only issue was they had lost my medical exam so I had to do another one and send it in…
