Just had interview today. It went well and got approved but they have to approve my 751. The uscis agent said she will review it and approve it but next step is oath ceremony now.

My husband was with me but he wasn’t needed in the interview. It was still good that he came because she said all I need is proof that you’re still married and we were together.

Congratulations with smooth interview! Your N-400 wasn't approved. It cannot be approved without I-751 being approved first. You pased the civics though.

The next step is I-751 approval and then followed by oath.

It's unlikely, but you still may receive RFE or interview for I-751.

In many cases all you have to do is wait and you will receive the oath letter.

Yes I should have said my application has been recommended for approval. The agent said she’ll be the one adjudicating my i751. She said she doesn’t need any further proof but yes RFE could always happen!

Feeling a little bit disappointed. Other people in my FO applied around the same date I did for N400 and they already have their interview scheduled.

I did my biometrics Febr 6th and it’s been “actively being reviewed” ever since.
I’m happy for other people, but really frustrated on my end.

I hear you.

Mine wasn't the same FO, but someone from September 2022 got approved in 6-7 months.  This is ridiculous.  Some get approved so quick and others are left to die.

Yes it was a combo, but without me lol. I was not allowed in the building. I was going to wait to post until we got status but folks wanna know (can't  blame them). Let me get the wife calmed down  she's  absolutely stoked and wired and I can't get a complete sentence out of her yet. I'll  post again once she comes back down to earth. She did pass and got recommended for approval though both I-751 and the N-400!

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

@Sarge2155 How did it go today? Did you have a combo interview?

I posted a detailed after actions report in the January 2023 N-400 Filers so I did not want to double post so use the following link to get there:

I will say this though the I-751 is an after thought when attending the N-400 interview they hardly spent much time going over it at all.  So if you plan to submit your N-400 when your window opens and your I-751 is still pending I recommend it whole-heartily!!!! It has happened many times this year already for other folks too!!!

Well just to keep everyone informed my wife got an updated status a few minutes ago that her I-751 was approved. She had her N-400 interview yesterday so I guess they are trying to catch everything up now. I truly do think that submitting the N-400 did help things along and for those of you that are considering  naturalizing I would recommend you do it. Hang in there everyone you are almost at the end of the tunnel!

I couldn't agree more.  I am sure my wife and I would still be waiting for the I-751 approval had she not applied for citizenship.

Did either of your cases mainly the I-751 get transferred after you submitted your N400? Your interview should be any day now! Your cases are straightforward right?
