They want to see a continuum of shared finances since the marriage started. So if you have older statements that is actually good to send. Most of our package consists of 24 bank statements from the inception of the account, not just the last one.

Feel free to go through my list to see if you can get any ideas. I always add my husband as emergency contact info every time I go to a new doctor, so maybe you have something like that?

Tax returns, state property taxes, joint health/ vehicle/ home insurance, credit cards, etc.

Might be able to dig up a few older bank statements.  Didn't think about the doctor's emergency contact.  House/cars are no good as house is in mine and dad's names, and car is in my name (bought before she got her license, so dealer wasn't willing to put her name on it).  She doesn't have any of her own credit cards, but is authorized user on all of mine, so I should be able to dig that up as well.  I'm probably overthinking everything, which in this case, I'd rather overthink than not, don't wanna mess this up :)

Also, for your tax returns, did you submit the basic forms, or did you send your entire return?

I always download the tax return transcripts from the IRS page -much less paperwork. You might have to create an account if you don’t have one. It’s going to ask you what you want it for. Simply select “immigration “

I don't  know  people I'm reading and watching reports on this new strain of the covid virus and they say it may be a repeat of early 2020. If that is the case or should it happen we may be in for an extra lengthy wait. Maybe they'll wavie lots of interviews. Gawd I'm  burnt out with this mess!

Me too transcripts are much better and neater! If you can't get them on the spot have them mailed only takes about 10 days to arrive.

Transcripts are best!

It's also important to include every page of the bank statements, including blank pages and pages that seem irrelevant. You don't have to include every single statement (unless you feel your other evidence isn't adequate). One for each quarter should be enough.

Well, here we are, some bank statements later. I personally took the suggestion that people gave me to be thorough and submit all the bank statements. It might be an overkill, but my peace of mind is worth it.

Now I need to wait on some January statements, and this monster will be ready to go!

It is definitely a big package: is it worth including an ACCO clip? I bought rubber bands to keep it together. On the way to the post office I’ll stop at the store and ask them to make a copy and do the punch holes…

Bummer. However, I'm applying for citizenship as soon as I'm eligible, so it might force them to look at my file.

Part of the reason why I went above and beyond with this package is because I want the officer to look at it and see no need for an interview. Maybe we get lucky again. I mean, we are completely in love and a genuine couple, but wouldn't it be nice to have the two interviews waived?

Yeah wifey is going to apply soon as eligible  too. That's  not to far off in both our cases!

Yeah would be nice to get a pass on this interview too! Let's hope these big packets pay off then.
