Well, I’m stuck! 
I’m a resident since 04/29/2020. Therefore my application window opens today. 
Im reviewing the application and when I answer the question “on what date did you become a permanent resident?” (04.29.2020) I get a message saying “you’re not eligible to apply for naturalization” and then down below it says 

“You may be eligible to apply for naturalization as a person who has been a LPR at least three years before submitting this application on or after January 29, 2023”.

 

Am I in the wrong for thinking that I’m eligible to apply as of today?

@Rocio0010 as a side note, why are you applying exactly on the day when 90 day window opens? You surely must have seen reports of USCIS denying applications due to date/time difference. Even if accepted today, it may show in their system you filed 91 days before 3 year mark of being LPR.

No big deal. Never apply on the exact date u become eligible. If you r eligible on 29th lets say, apply on 31st to be on a safe side. You can try this thing by answering that question with different date like 27th or 28th. I got eligible on 21st but i applied on 23rd so that they wont reject it because i applied just one or 2 days earlier. Though u r eligible on 29th but u know the different time zonen can mess this up. So just give it a day or two.

Are you taking  that preliminary test inside your account during the application for the N400 or outside on the USCIS Website? If outside answer  that same question  and answer inside your account. Otherwise it may be to close in your date. I'm thinking it's to close!

Ok your date is to close. Wait a couple of days then it'll be ok.

Yeah I will try again tomorrow or on Tuesday. It's not like it's going to make a world of difference!

Yeah it does not make the wait any less short. We filed ours a full day after we became eligible so wait a full 24 hours minimum  before you file. I know you are antsee I was too to get it out of the way, but waiting is the safe thing to do.

I applied on the 90 day mark. Still seems to be getting the process rolling. Just following their rules.
