We received the I-797C NOA transfer notice and our I-751 was indeed transferred to NBC Lee's Summit, MO 64064. That is also where our N-400 is. So they did transfer the I-751 to join the N-400. The I-751 was transferred from the Texas Service Center. Well have to wait and see what happens next!

Did you receive the online update for the transfer?

Yes online  first then the hard  copy! The online copy just stated the case had been transferred, it did not tell me where it was transferred too. The hard copy did.

I will be a Jan 2023 filer and need help with my weird situation.

Wife and I have one child have been married 4+ years now.

However we manage our finances separately, and thus:

- don't have joint bank accounts

- don't have joint ownership of the house (I only have my name on title since we decided that the one who pays, has their name on title)

- don't have names on car titles for cars we didn't pay for

- don't have joint names on house mortgage or car loans

I do have my wife on life insurance, retirement plans, health insurance, and utility bills.

How do I justify all this to USCIS that our relationship is legit despite us managing our finances separately?

Easy for each point  you touched on write  a short explanation letter and explain to them. I had to write up a mortgage explanation letter myself and for some bank statements  we included  both separate accounts that showed money being transferred between them. Not really a big deal as long as you explain them!

Can I start the N400 application online and save before the 90 day eligibility period to submit and then come back and submit the application when that window is open?

Absolutely. In fact that is what we did for my wife’s case.

One thing to note is I believe you have to log in once every month to keep your application from getting deleted.

Yes, but after 30 days of inactivity they will delete your saved files, so just make sure you actively do something on your application once in awhile.

None other than the same one from Texas Center about applying the fingerprints to the case. I don't  anticipate anything until we are fully qualified for the N-400  in April 2023 that's when the GC and resident since will reach 3 years. I'm  hoping something will happen shortly after that.

Is that a known practice where they wait for you to hit that window?

For the N400 yes because even if you can apply 90 days early under the 3 year rule you are not actually at 3 years until you meet resident  since and your GC anniversary date hits 3 years! The I-751 can be adjudicated now, but I'm thinking they will wait and do a combo interview. That's  not written in stone anywhere but it stands to reason they would not interview you or grant you approval on the N400 until you have met the 3 year rule.

It does make sense. Even when N400s go fast, they don’t seem to adjudicate them if you haven’t hit the three years.
Im applying next Sunday and my dream would be to be done with everything (Oath ceremony included) by August… but who knows?!
