Just a few more days. Just finished going over my packet took it apart and put it back together again, checked the USCIS site to see if my version of the I-751 was still usable (it was thank goodness) also checked the fees still $680.00. I'll check one last time a few minutes on the 5th of January before I add the check and sign everything and go off to FedEx (decided to stick with them). Actually my window opens on the 3rd of January 2022, in my first post in this thread I said the 4th, but I'll be good anyway cause I'll send it out on the 5th of January 2022.

This packet has been a huge boat anchor, and I'll surely be glad when it's gone and on the way. Oh and the second copy it's not assembled, but it's all in a box. I'll use that and take with me should I have to interview a few years down the road. I hope and wish all January filers and for that matter everyone who will be filing this New Year much success. Just take your time look over your work and then when you think you are done...look over it again!!!!!!

Been working on my package yesterday too. Went to Staples, got a few supplies, and my label maker is here. I'll work on the labels today after dinner.

I will do my draft of form I-751 tomorrow. Final version will be done a few days before sending the package. Going to check right at the end of January for fees, edition date, etc. Currently waiting till the end of the month to print the last utility bills, and bank and mortgage statements (I still need to print the monthly bank statements, as initially I was doing quarterly. Once I have the whole package ready to send and before adding the labels, I will make a copy of the whole monster!

Making a copy is the worst part, but necessary. Good deal on your progress!!!

Actually to me, that's easy because I am going to take the monster to Staples and tell them to do it. The worst part is going to be going over the bank statements, see which months I did print, which months I did not print, and go from there. But I am going to do it tomorrow, so that I know by January 20th that I only need to print the January ones. Same with the utility bills and mortgage statements.

I work better if I do a little at a time.

Just curious: I see in your picture that you have labels for the exhibits (the white ones). Are they index tabs? What are they? I need some of them for my package!

They have the ones with letters and or numbers, you'll see them there at the above link real cheap too both versions!

ACCO binder clips too, 2" although I had to use 3" since my packet was so thick!

So we're doing our packet right now, and the pessimist in me is stressing out.  Trying to look at other people's cover letters/organization of evidence to give me an outline of what to include.  Should I add a note to any of these things?  For example, I'm including a copy of our drivers licenses which show we're living together.  My house is paid off, and was bought together with my father almost 20 years ago (still working on getting his name off the title).  Should I say something like that, or just give copies of our licenses and if they later ask about the home ownership tell them then?

I included an explanatory note at the beginning of each section where I thought one was needed.  I think it would be a good idea to explain the situation with your house.

I would include an explanation of the house situation. For example, in my case I am including a copy of our previous lease, and the landlord paid for our utilities, so for the period of 2019-2021 (or at least a good bit of it) we don't have joint utilities. So I asked my landlord to write a letter explaining this.

This is exactly what I did for each of my exhibits where I thought an explanation was needed, I drew up a short explanation letter and signed it. They were nothing fancy just short and sweet and to the point at hand. Do that and you'll be fine!
