At 70 days status just changed to show fingerprints were taken (wavied). Not sure if the service request had anything to do with it or not. But it's likely the request jogged someone's  memory and they said, "we forgot schedule Biometrics for this case." At any rate we'll continue to wait and see if we interview or not.

Progress!!!

Yes! I’m thinking I might have done it too soon (45 days) but honestly, I felt like someone forgot about my case. It was more like a gentle reminder that my case is beginning to collect dust.

Ha! You’re more patient than me. They received my package on 02-01 and I sent a service request.

If you hear something before me, we'll know the service request definitely works!

UPDATE (but nothing too fancy!) today I received an email from USCIS and for a minute I was like “Yasssss! An update!”. Well, here’s the “update” after my service request:

The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the USCIS Contact Center at the number provided below.

…..

I bet it took more time to send that email than deciding what to do about my biometrics!

got an update that our case was sent from the Texas office to another.  I will let you know when the notice arrives in the mail to see if it gives more details.

It did not tell you which office?

Hey, January filers! We are December, but our forum is not nearly as active as yours. My husband is doing RoC from CR-1, we submitted our packet at the beginning of December and very quickly received his 24 mo extension letter, but was never given a biometrics appointment. I've checked the online portals and nothing has updated, and of course I have informed delivery on my mail and haven't seen anything coming from USCIS. Our service center is LIN (Nebraska), is anyone else a CR-1 who has been sent there?

We were sent there for our initial I-130 way back when too, they must just really like us... The slowest service center, I swear!

Well of course you are welcomed here. Put in a service request for lost or not received documents. That might shake things loose. The link is provided a couple of posts before this one. It's on the USCIS website where you can put in the request.

Well, my situation is almost the same, except that I adjusted from an F1. But I sent my package at the beginning of February, received the extension letter shortly after, but it’s been radio silence ever since.
What tickles me the most is that in theory, I-751s are meant to discourage marriage fraud. Well, by not touching our cases for two years it means that they are not really worried about fraud! I751s are a joke
