I - 751 January 2022 Filers

This forum has helped me so much since we applied for my husband's conditional green card back in 2019, but this is my first time posting!

We just sent off our I-751 packet through UPS last night and received notification from UPS that it has been delivered to the lockbox location. We will continue to update our timeline and add it to the google doc. I am hoping we don't have to wait too long to receive NOA1 because we would like to travel to see my husband's family in France.

Good luck everyone!

Hi all! I filed early January and already received my extension notice shortly after. Currently away for a few weeks visiting in-laws and saw via Informed Delivery that I'm getting a USCIS letter, and of course I won't be home for a while to open it. What would this most likely be so early in the process since I already received the extension letter & wasn't expecting any updates quite so soon? Thanks!

It could be about biometrics. Maybe, it's the waiver!

It's most likely the biometrics letter. Most of them are being waived from what I am seeing. So you should wait and see!

Biometrics wavier or the dreaded RFE.  Hopefully not the latter. Please update your time line so other January filers can have a baseline.

Thanks all - I really appreciate the responses! I'll share asap once we know, hopefully not RFE since we already sent off so much. And I don't have my paperwork on hand since we're away from home but will update my timeline asap, since I know how helpful it can be for others.

I doubt it's a RFE. It's too soon for that.

But if it were that, it means they're working super fast on her case!

Quick question:

How did you write your memo on the check? I was thinking of doing something like "$595 I-751 fees +$85 biometrics fee". Would this work?

I just put ROC I-751 it's your own personal choice anything would work really.  USCIS is going to cash the check electronically anyway.

We got the  I-797, Notice Of Action (extension letter) today 1/15/2022 in the mail. Received Date 1/6/22, Notice Date 1/8/22.  At the Texas Service Center, so now the next piece of communication will be the Bio wavier or Bio appointment letter! In either case we are prepared for the long ride to obtain the 10 yr GC!

Good! I just received the reminder. Disappointed to say the least, because they sent it to the old address even though we filed for a change of address in time. It just so happened that I signed up for USPS delivery. I’m horribly worried that they might send a RFE down the road and we won’t get it!

Did the post office forward it to your new address? Maybe you should call to verify what address  USCIS has on you and explain what happened, maybe they can change it during your call if you can get through.

I called about a week ago and the “very knowledgeable “ tier 1 agent said it would be updated with my I-751. I hate it when they give you those answers, as if I didn’t know how messed up their system can be.

yes, USPS forwarded it for me. I’ll try calling again Tuesday and explain the situation again.
If you file by mail, can you see the letters they send you on the my USCIS online account?

I've  heard of some folks being able too, but I've never seen any on my account. So I'm  not sure really.
