Hello everyone!
I have decided to apply for N-400 to try and get my I-751 processed since Potomac is so slow. Uscis received my N-400 on 5/7/23, then 2 days ago I received a letter that they’re able to reuse my fingerprints from previous application. When should I expect my case to get transferred? And what should I expect next? Thank you in advance!

Not everyone gets an update that I-751 has been transferred, but for those that do it is common to receive that update within the first few weeks of filing N-400. We were notified the I-751 was transferred exactly 1 week after filing N-400.

Since your biometrics have been reused, at this point you are just waiting for notice of an interview date.

There is more helpful information in the N-400 forum. Here is the link to the thread for May 2023 filers:

Any msc filers get approved recently? I'm over 500 days and still says case received. I applied for n400 Nov 10 22. Still no movement

Did you try submitting a "case outside of processing time".  Even for N400 you are close to being a bit beyond that.  I would try that.

I-751 MSC

1) applied jan 25, 2022

2) Biometrics- march 7, 2022

3) No update after biometrics

5) I 751 was in MSC(NBC) since the beginning . I-751 never got transferred after applying N400 on Jan 25, 2023. May be because my I-751 was already at NBC(its just my thinking)

N-400

1) Applied jan 25, 2023

2) biometrics-  scheduled feb 16 but did earlier by walking in westerville Ohio around feb 10, 2023.

3) Case status changed to "being actively reviewed on the same day".

4) March 28, 2023 scheduled for N400 interview on may, 17, 2023

5) Aprroved both files on the interview day.

Checked the case tracker today and found an update! N400 Interview was scheduled and I should receive a letter with details in a few days. I have a pending 751, and I applied for N400 last month, so I'm assuming this will be a combo.
Please share any link that would help me gather documents and anything that could help to get prepared. Thanks!

Of course it may vary case by case or field office. the only supporting document they asked to provide was birth certificate of kids. scanned them and approved I751 then moved on to N400.

Hope it helps.

Do they keep your naturalization certificate when applying for a passport?

They keep it, but eventually return it to you.  My wife received her Naturalization Certificate back about 7 weeks after receiving her passport.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
