NVC Processing Time

Hi,

How long does does it normally take for NVC processing? I’ve read before that it would take maybe 3 months (after submission of AOS) for the approval to go through, but then on the VJ timeline estimates it says 308 days for NVC processing. Is it longer on VJ because people don’t necessarily submit their AOS and other documents straight away?

PD May 2021, hoping for NOA2 early 2022.

The review timeframe changes depending on NVC workload.  Currently, it takes around 3 months from date of last submission of documents.  The review tracking page is here -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

It took around 3 months for ours.  But that was in 2017

Same here in 2016/2017....... But our attorney screwed up, so we received a checklist from NVC, causing our case to stay at NVC for a total of 24 weeks......

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Wow. If I remember correctly, we had a check list from NVC also. Can’t remember what it was for, but it stated for my wife to bring it to the embassy when she had her interview. But it didn’t hold it up.  I had it FedEx’d to her and she told me the embassy never asked her for it.

i wanna say it was our latest tax return???   Don’t remember
