Hello everyone, I have a question my case for cr1 has been DQ at nvc. About how long after will I get an interview? I will have the interview in Cairo Egypt. Just wondering about how long til I'll get an interview. Also are they even doing interviews? I don't know how to find all of this.

Hello Sila,

When were you DQ'd? My spouse was DQ'd on Oct. 26, 2020 (IR1) and we are still waiting for an appointment with the embassy. So this a 13 months wait so far.

I thought we would have heard by now, but we are still waiting.  So I would greatly appreciate knowing anyone who recently obtained a recent interview to try and determine the processing time.

Good luck,

Tareq

To both of u  doing Egypt,  check the word portal at top of the home page and look at timelines

the top approved spouse visa for your country (column on far right of portal) says the spouse visa was dq'd 7/27/20 and interview 10/4/21

to keep the case open at NVC stage the USC should continue to notify by email or letter once a month that he/she wants the case to be kept open as posted on notice from NVC

Dear Sila,

I just received a notification of our appointment with the US Embassy for Jan. 3, 2022!  So this puts the current waiting time from DQ to appointment at just over 14 months for IR1 here in Cairo.  So perhaps your timeframe will be somewhere around then?

Good luck and hope you hear from NVC soon!!

on top of every page here in VJ there is a bar with the words forms ,  portals,  guides,  etc

Hit portal with your cursor

then find the flag map for your country or scroll down for the name of country
