Hope everyone has heard from their family members affected by the Odette. My house/garage/worker's house, we're all leveled by my worker and his family and my wife's family are all OK so I'm happy.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your house in the PH. You're right to still look at the bright side - if the people important to you and your wife are still OK, that's a real blessing.

We are trying to send money to help our family in Toledo City, Cebu. They are now homeless without food or water. But no where to pick up.  Electric out for 2-3 months. AtMs' and banks closed. Stores destroyed. Hopefully, the international community helps, cause the govt of the Phillpines sure wont.

Here is a FB page and also their website that might help.  They are updating the FB a lot with places that are open, but I'm not sure about Toledo.  FB seems to have the most info about the storm.

Scroll down a bit on their FB and you will find a post with a lot of pictures including before and after pics.  This link might work to take you directly to the post.

We were supposed to arrive in Mactan on Christmas Day.  I am in the process of cancelling everything.  We were going to do a day trip to Crimson Resort.  This is a before and after picture of their beach.  We had 2 nights booked at nearby Jpark.  Unable to contact them by any method.  We have been unable to contact relatives on Bohol as well.
