Hi ! My husband filled I 130 and the cheque was cashed on 6th june 2007. We got our acknowledgement number from the copy of the cheque. We haven't received NOA1 but when we checked our case status on the uscis site it clearly states that it has been sent. My husband called uscis and they said that sometimes it takes 8 weeks to receive the NOA1. I am so confused.....

USCIS Process

15th May 07 - Mailed the I-130 package

16th May 07 - Recvd by NSC

04th Jun 07 - Recvd by CSC

06th Jun 07 - Cheque Cashed

24th Aug 07 - Finally received NOA1

31st Aug 07 - Touched looks like finally things are on a move :)

18th Sep 07 - Touched again

19th Sep 07 - Case Approval (NOA2) sent on 18th sep (just received an email update) :)

NVC Process

02nd Oct 07 - NVC Received and assigned case number

08th Oct 07 - DS-3032 and AOS bill generated

22nd Oct 07 - Received DS-3032 and AOS bill

23rd Oct 07- AOS bill sent

29th Oct 07- DS-3032 sent

31st Oct 07- DS-3032 entered into the system

05th Nov 07- IV bill generated

20th Nov 07- IV bill received

21st Nov 07- IV bill money order sent

26th Nov 07- IV bill processed

27th Nov 07- I-864 received

03rd Dec 07- I-864 sent

03rd Dec 07- DS230 generated

19th Dec 07- DS230 received

31st Dec 07- DS230 sent

03rd Jan 08- NVC received

18th Jan 08- Case complete :)

26th Feb 08- Finally case forwarded to Embassy, got the interview date Yoo Hoo

Chennai Embassy

20th Mar 08 - Medicals completed

1st Apr 08 - Interview done I got the visa..... yoo hooooo

13th Apr 08 - arrived in USA

24th Apr 08 - SS card arrived in mail

09th May 08 - Greencard arrived in mail

keep calling the USCIS it will be there soon !! usually takes 2 to 3weeks to receive noticed from the USCIS, hard to ahold with them by calling USCIS!!!but if you check in the uscis website they send noticed with you... try to check ur mailbox .. please try to be patience...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

before we encountered that problem we keep calling the USCIS sometimes calling of USCIS is not helpfuL that is why my hubby do also appointment to the nearest USCIS!! if u have time try to make appointment to nearest USCIS in ur state .. good luck ..have a good time

keep calling the USCIS it will be there soon !! usually takes 2 to 3weeks to receive noticed from the USCIS, hard to ahold with them by calling USCIS!!!but if you check in the uscis website they send noticed with you... try to check ur mailbox .. please try to be patience...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi ! I just found out that there is some (printing) delay of NOA1 and NOA2 at the CSC. I guess i might receive it soon. Anyways we are not going thru the K3 visa as it has nearly the same timeline. Anyways thanks!

Are you trying to go for K3? If not, you don't really need the NOA1 since you know that the CSC has received your petition and you have your case number.

that's the address go down a little in that page you will find the shortcuts.

I think sticking with cr1 is good. It might take a little longer may be one or two months but in the long run it is better. You get the green card as soon as you enter the US. And after 3 years you get citizenship. Plus you can avoid other processes and fees that are associated with k1. In my opinion cr1 is better. Good luck.
