Hello everyone!Ā

My husbandā€™s visa was approved!!!! šŸ„³

Alhamdulilaah!!! ā™„ļøšŸ™ŒšŸ¼

He had his appointment at 10:00am but got there an hour early. He waited an hour before they interviewed him. His interview was less than 5 minutes and he was interviewed by a really nice gentleman. He was asked:

-How did you meet?
-How many times did I visit him in Morocco?
-Does his family support our marriage? Ā
-Who is your co-sponsor?
-Whatā€™s my job?Ā
-Why didnā€™t I work last year?Ā
-What did I study in college?

Ā
My husband did his interview in English and saw one other man get approved. He did mention that he saw more people being denied than approved šŸ˜” He thinks this is because the people were interviewing in Arabic and seemed very nervous.

His biggest tips are to be confident and polite. Be confident in how you answer the questions and that itā€™s okay to be friendly.Ā

Prior to meeting the officer a woman collected the following documents and asked him twice in what language he wanted to interview.
-Original Marriage Certificate/ translation
-Original Police Record/ translation
-Original Court Record/ translationĀ
*The court record we submitted to NVC expired on 12/13 and we uploaded a new one on 12/16, however, they did not want the new one. We brought both just in case.Ā

All of the documents were returned by the officer. The officer did not ask to see any pictures, messages, etc. He then providedĀ my husband with an approval form and welcome packet.

The officerā€™s final words, ā€œYour application has been approved and your passport will be ready next week, Mubrouk! (Congratulations)ā€.

I will post a more detailedĀ timeline soon, thank you all! šŸ’›

just applied in July of 2021 and interview in DecemberĀ

fastest turnaround i have seen for Morocco

Ā

Don't buy airline flights till he gets visa in hand you know he can fly out as morocco shut its borders till the 31st (it can be extended they post in news)

If he has to transit make sure he doesn't need transit visa (France does and Air France is a biggie for flights from Morocco)

In Canada he can transit with a valid US visaĀ

that's all i know
