I went ahead and turned my AOS package into chicago and got a pink letter back from them stating that I could not turn in a I-864EZ form and must complete an I864 regular form. Ok no biggie...but im kinda confused as to some info that is asked on this form. I have looked at all the instructions on the form and have searched on here but im not understanding as to what its asking. My wife has a 3 year old daughter...what do I fill out for block 24 E? Does our daughter get added to part 3 and do we check off both block 8 and 9? Thanks for the help!!!

It looks like you would only put people in section 24 if you are including their income, i.e.:if your wife is working, you'll add her income on there. If she isn't working, put none...see example form.

I would guess you would check yes for both boxes under section 8&9, as your wife is the principal immigrant and her daughter is also coming(section 9), unless her daughter is on a separate application.

Thanks for the help! My wife does not work so for that block I did put none. Should I fill out block 24E just like how it is on the example form? Is this what section you fill out if you dont have to file an I864A form due to only one income is beign used on this application? Sorry to ask..I just got an RFE on this matter and want to make sure I do this form right.

You would use it like the example(a-c). That's what we did. I don't know what box to check b/c of your daughter. Maybe you can call the 800 number if no one else can help.

No, do not follow the example for for part 3 section 24 - the way the example form is filled out for this section is inconsistent, a mix of two different situations. If the answer to 24.b is 'none' then 24.d and 24.e are not applicable.

Thank You!! Last question...I just called the USCIS number and asked them these questions but they told me to go get a lawyer or they were telling me #######. It was a simple question too....

Block 23 My Current annual income is_____________ This number is what I would get paid for 2007 right? They said it was for my 2006 income but this states my CURRENT income which is what confuses me when they say one thing and I think another. Is this income amount before or after taxes? Is this income what is reported for 2006 or expected for 2007? Thanks again for all your help here!

vio0633,

Your current income is the base pay on your most recent pay statement expressed as an annual number. E.g. your current hourly rate of pay x 2080 hours per year if you pay is stated as an hourly rate.

This may not be either what you made in 2006 or will make in 2007.
