This is obviously a mistake.

 

 

Do we just fill out the typographical request form on USCIS? Can my U.K.-born husband provide this GC as valid proof of his status, as it currently is?

 

Just 🤯 right now.  Under what circumstances would a USA born person ever need a green card?! How was this not an automatic "🤔  hmm, somethings wrong here"?

was his parents under diplomatic category than he is not  a US citizen

if he was born in UK you file i-90 as uscis error and get it corrected.

Wow.  USCIS has outdone itself with this one.  Seasonal workers out smoking weed behind the service center dumpsters for sure.

and for this they take 18-24 months to process  ... the cognitive ability of those workers seems to be off the chart

Here’s how I imagine a dialogue between employees:

Tom: Hey Bill, how’s it going?

Bill: Going good (sips water from a bottle) how ‘bout yourself?

Tom: Not too bad, just finished printing a batch of those… watcha call ‘em? Green cards or something like that?

Bill: Yeah, yeah, green cards. Well good! Is the printer finally working?

Tom: I guess so, I mean… I think there’s something wrong with Rick, you know the guy that inputs the information? He wrote U.S.A on “country of origin” in Word, and now a couple of green cards have that error.

Bill: oh well, no biggie. After all, both countries speak English, right? It’s not like they’re too different!

Tom: You’re right! Oh well, gotta go now. I’m working on a case that’s been on my pile since 2016.

British English needs translation. Those trousers have to be changed to pants, chips to fried, crisps to chips, bonnet to hood, boot to trunk, if they appear anywhere on that BC...😅😅😅

I’ve seen a UK one here on Visa Journey that said

Country of Birth:  Unknown

 

Somebody thought UK was an abbreviation for unknown..
