My dad got here about 50 days ago and it’s not usual for the card to take so long to be delivered. Anyone knows why it’s taking USCIS so long to deliver green cards?

Mine pre COVID took 3 months. So for me 50 days just sound ok for now.

Post-COVID, it is not unusual for GC delivery to take more than 90 days.  Check the recent updates in the thread below --

Hi all,

my dad’s POE: Chicago

DOE: 11/5/2021

still waiting

my question is do I use his old USCIS receipt number to check on the card production status or any other number? Each time I enter his receipt number, it says case was forwarded to NVC which is an old status..

Enter the IOE number of the receipt you got when you paid the $220 immigrant fee.

He will have a new reference number that was assigned when the green card fee was paid …usually IOE…… unless the fee hasn't been paid .. the card wont be produced until it has been oaid

It’s been 90 days since entry in the US and more than 90 days for fees being paid for green card. I called USCIS because dad’s green card hasn’t arrived yet and they created a case for that and escalated it to immigration officer then they gave us a long case number. Any idea how it actually takes to get an update as they said 30 days but isn’t that too long after waiting 90 days. Please share your experience and many thanks.
