Quick question: hubby and I have one joint bank account with a certain bank. Well, we moved from West Virginia to Ohio, and that bank is not in Ohio. So we are thinking of switching banks and have indeed opened a new joint bank account in another one. We're wanting to pay utilities in January with that new bank, but I'm thinking it might throw the officer off if the sees 23 statements from one bank and then 1 from another? Is it better to wait until we file and then switch banks? I might be overthinking it, but...

Just write up an explanation and tell them what happened and why the change in banks. Put the explanation in the same tab as your statements. You'll be fine. I had to explain the wife having her own checking and transferring her pay to our joint checking.

Looks absolutely fine!   About the bank statements, we just submitted quarterly, not monthly and had no issue.  But, if you wanna submit monthly, then I would.

and as stated in a previous post about the banks, definitely include a letter explaining that.  Also, list the letter on your cover sheet so they know it’s there and to look for it.

Looking at it on its “face”, as long as your 751 is complete with no errors and is submitted in the correct time frame, I see no issues.  You have WAY more than enough of the “weight carrying” documents to show a bona fide marriage.

This monster is getting ready to leave soon! I just need to add the January statements, the i-751, the check and the g-1145. Also, I need to make a copy of the whole package to keep for my records. Thankful for the winter break and the time I could spend putting everything together. I hate rushing last minute!

Help is greatly appreciated! My monster package is so big that not even the extra large binder clip will help keep it together. I have a rubber band all across it. I definitely do not think we were including anything extra, so reducing the size of our evidence is not a choice. Any ideas?

Get those 3" ACCO fasterners  and use a cardboard backing, and you should be good. Sent mine off today 6.2 pounds it fix inside a medium box snugly.

Could you please elaborate? I'm sorry but I am not sure what this is.

It's funny... today as I was trying to fit my Godzilla in that binder clip I remembered myself one year ago being worried about not having enough evidence! I went overboard lol. But it's all relevant, and the bank statements definitely add up a lot to it!

Look on my first post in the January 2022 I-751 Filers and you can see what I mean, you lay out your ACCO clip first then after you have cut the cardboard to match the size (length and width) of your paper use a standard two punch and punch holes in the cardboard (I used two pieces of cardboard together) to make the entire packet firm. Your cardboard will be the backing of your entire packet. Then you just start laying your documents (punched) on top of the backing (in reverse order) I might add until you get to the first document on  top. Do not put a cardboard on top of the packet as that would make it to hard for the USCIS folks to get access to the documents. Follow me now? Check out the thread I referenced and you'll see what I'm talking about!

Perhaps it's a bit early yet and also many people do not know about VJ, they actually stumble onto VJ. I'm sure folks will show up soon once they get their stuff together!

My informed delivery says I have a notice coming from USCIS today! I think it is the reminder to fill ROC.

I am almost ready to file!!! I just need to print the last statements, and to insert the divididers for the exhibits!!!

Of course, I did file for a change of address with USCIS. I also filed for USPS forwarding. However, I can see that the envelope has a USPS seal saying “notify sender of new address”. A couple days ago I called the USCIS non- helpful customer service line and the agent said that the new address will show once I file the package. Ugh!!! So frustrating! I just don’t want to miss any notices as you can imagine. Should I be worried about it?

This looks fantastic! You asked for feedback. Frankly, your submission is great as is. If I had to say anything, I would say that it may be useful to add "effective date" or "since date" wherever you can. I think it makes it easier for the officer to go through your file and establish if you covered the entire time span since the date of your marriage. You added it for some items but not all. :)

Best wishes!
