Lol why would you want to relive 2020 again 😆

In honesty though, I am glad I'm not the only person who messed up the date on the payment, thanks for sharing. We are human!!

Did you provide fresh paperwork (form i751, evidence etc)? Or just provide a new cheque?

Good luck with packet number 2.

I did everything fresh. The reason I did was because each page tbey returned had something printed on the bottom, and the green letter said "new filing". My husband wanted to just send the returned stuff with new check. I tried emailing and calling uscis but got nowhere so just decided to re do everything fresh. And we also decided to use credit card for payment instead of the check. Hopefully it doesn't get rejected this time, as green card expires on the 27th.

Thanks and good luck to you as well!

(2020 was actually an excellent year for us, my husband got his visa and was able to move here, we bought a house, our twins were born, I was lucky to be layed off and get unemployment due to pandemic so my husband didn't have to work and was able to stay home with me and the newborn twins. We got extremely lucky with how things went down, could have been catastrophic though)

Hi @ashgup1987, I sent my application by USPS normal priority mail on Thursday, February 10th. When I checked the tracking on Sunday 13th it showed that it was delivered to the lockbox on Saturday 12th. I received my text notification yesterday (15th) so that would make it 2 business days or 4 days from when my application was delivered to when I got my notification. Don’t know if USCIS work over the weekend though!

Edit: Just saw the other responses to your questions. Mine was also sent to Carol Stream, IL.

Thanks @LFP. I just received a notification this morning (2/16) that they received my package at Phoenix Lockbox on 2/14. I had mailed it through Priority express on Friday (2/11) and it was delivered on Saturday (2/12). So it does seem like around 2-3 business days before they send out the text notification.

Great to have a bunch of people on similar timeline. Let me know whenever your payment gets processed and I will do the same. From past experience, that's the best way to know that your application has been accepted.

The cover letter does not really matter.

Quantity does not matter.

Quality of documents does.

oh interesting so that letter you received so quick is also the extension letter? well i hope i get a text message hopefully soon as well :) i had to put rubber bands to my package so it holds all together and two big binder clips

Yes, that's the extension letter.

My package was 5.5 lb, about 15 exhibits held together with binder clips. Then, the whole package is held together with an ACCO binder clip.

Hi Team Feb, my timeline below:

Dispatched bundle on Feb 5 via UPS (over $80 to send a packet with maybe 30-40 sheets of paper to Chicago from NYC, quite the racket. But I also don't trust USPS, so pick your battles)

Delivered Feb 8

Credit card charged Feb 9 (I know some are reluctant to use CC incase credit card company blocks the payment which is fair)

USCIS text confirming case receipt came on Feb 10

Received NOA Feb 17 extending green card for 2 years. Notice date recorded as Feb 9

Working days count from delivery of packet to NOA in hand = 7 working days
