For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and for you to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together. Stay patient because this is a long process currently running 6 - 9 months for your NOA2 approval. Then depending on your embassy, you will be dealing with backlogs.

Also note that USCIS goes by "Received date" not NOA-1:

Example

I-129 F Sent -  October 5, 2021

I-129 F Received - October 9, 2021

I-129 F - Notice Date - October 17, 2021

In this example your NOA-1 should be October 9. This will help you fill out your timeline properly.

Hello everyone,

we sent our I-129F Form at the end of September and got the NOA1 at the beginning of October. So I am an October filer. And even if it's a bit early to get excited who knows maybe they randomly pick my File and send me NOA2 soon :))

As an additional Info: My Fiance is in the military and we were hoping to expedite our case. But unfortunately it didn't work out.

I wish everyone a happy Christmas and I hope USCIS gets faster in new year.

Hi all,

We filed our i-129F in September and got our NOA1 on the 7th of October. Our Embassy is in Belgrade, Serbia. We're really hoping for a speedy process because my fiancee and I just want to go to my home state of California and get married and finally start the rest of our lives together!!

October 12, 2021 here. Seeing that most people is waiting up to 320-330 days for approval is a little depressing right now.

It's very depressing. When we first sent our form, we thought we could be in USA by May. But now it's looking like September. It's really frustrating, but just trying to hold on! That's the good thing about this forum, we're all here to support each other :)

Personally... I think things are picking up speed. I actually think around the end of march or the start of April things will be moving with more speed..

I hope you’re right about that. And maybe we will get back the 6-8 processing time by then.

It will pick up speed because there is an election coming. The current administration is going to open things up and declare victory and try to convince voters in the next 9-10 months they saved the world. After the election they will lock us all down again.

We filed in October too

CSV shows 9-12 months. That is insane.

We don't know what to do 😕

so disappointing

Don't trust the processing time on the USCIS website. Reading through the March forum today put me in a really good mood because it looks like a lot more action :)

Our NOA1 was Sept, we feel the same way, so sad and disappointed 😞

Let's keep our hopes up and wish for the USCIS to continue the speed it went today :)  I'm manifesting that it goes back to 6-8 month processing time

My application was received 10/04 by USCIS and from the USCIS website it’s saying that there is a documentation on the way. “We mailed your document for your form I-129F, receipt number WACxxxxxx. If you do not receive your document by February 23, 2022 please go to USCIS.gov”. Anyone have any clue what’s going on? I’ve heard there’s couple things I could receive approval/denial/RFE/ intent to deny. If anyone has any ideas PLEASE reply.

thank you in advance.

thank you in advance.

First, i would suggest creating your timeline hear on VJ. It can be very helpful to others.  Sometimes that can means that you sent an original document in your application and they are returning it to you.
