Green card received but no EAD or AP

Hi everyone!
We filed our AOS in June and we just had our interview last week, and thankfully received the green card yesterday! Yay! However there is no update on either the I-131 or I-765 which were filed at the same time. We thought we would have received those before the green card. Any recommendations? I was unable to submit a case outside normal processing times as it says “still within normal times” but it’s not because the processing time For the I-131 was 3-5 months for our service center and I wasn’t able to get past the automated machine over phone. Should we expect those soon? Not sure if we should stop by social security office and ask for them to generate the card or just wait? Good luck to everyone and if anyone has any questions please let me know! I’m be happy to help.

My recommendation is to forget the I131 and I765 as having the GC makes those obsolete.  I have heard a few stories of folks getting the GC while the others were still processing and when the AOS drives an interview.  At that point the local office workload comes into play.  Go to the SS Office with your GC.

Congrats! and Good Luck with the rest of your journey.

GC is the Master of all EADs and APs. Forget EAD/AP and enjoy the GC. Congratulations.

You can go to SSA office for SSN if you don't have one.

My recommendation is for you to celebrate your GC with a nice dinner. If you're on the East coast, it's rather cold, so go get yourself some soup too.

Put the AP card in a nice envelope. You'll need to turn those in when/if you naturalize.
