Affidavit of support

Hello guys,

 

Our case finally has been approved finally and now in the NVC step where i paid the processing fees and currently preparing the required documents. My question is about affidavit of support where we will have a joint sponser so he will fill form I-864 on behalf of me (the petitioner). 

Now shall i fill another I-864 in addition to the joint sponsor's one or it's just his form will be enough?

I'm pretty sure you both, petitioner and joint sponsor, have to file I864.

That is correct.  And...if the joint sponsor is married, their spouse should complete and sign an I-864a.

Your name will not appear anywhere on your  joint sponsor's form.  Your spouse is the person being sponsored.
