Hi Everybody,

This is Mohamed from Morocco, im glad to find this very important website and really i wished if i knew it from a long time, anyway please i need help so im having some questions about my case if someone can answer me. My wife and i had our green card (AOS) interview last month on the 26th. Everything was fine, but when we asked about the stamp for the passport allowing me to get a social security number so I wouldn't have to have a work permit, the officer said they didn't do that anymore and hadn't for quite a while. She said the FBI would have to review my case and do another background check, then they would send me the green card. So how long please it gonna take ? and do i need to do something about that ?.

Other things is my Work Permit EAD approved in February 27th and they sent it to a wrong adress and i made an appointment with Infopass and they said that they didn't get it back from the poste office and they still have the wrong adress in thier systeme and i went to the poste office to ask them if they have a letter under my name so after checking they said that there's nothing for me so please what im suppose to do to get my work permit ? should i applly for another one ? or make another appointment with Infopass and ask again ? or i need to change the adress ? and how ?:help:

Thanks for your help.

(i have a K3 visa)

The AOS process can go fast and sometimes it can go slow. See these links here and read and it will help you understand a little better...

ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS INFORMATION

ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS GUIDE (K3)

As for your EAD, you should call the USCIS customer service and talk to a representitive. You need to have them check the address in their system and explain your situation to them. I would also make an infopass appointment again as well. Call the USCIS at least once a week to check on this because it is better to be safe than sorry. At your infopass appointment, you should let them know your situation again if it has not been resolved.

I would also e-mail the USCIS on this if you can.

I know that it sucks, but I would rather bother them a lot until you have an answer than to sit on it without knowing.

That is just my opinion of course
