EAD Arrived, Green Card Arrived, But no Social Security card for

Hi, I received EAD on Oct,  Green card on end of Nov,  now it's middle of Dec and still no social security card.    Since I had an existing SS card;  I had indicated on I-765 to reissue me with social security (upon EAD approval).   

 

Is there a way check online either on SSA web site or USICS web site if request to reissue social security has been received by SSA and track whether it was mailed out to me?

 

Should I just visit SSA office and apply (re-apply) there?  

 

Kindly suggest or share experience ..

Requesting SSN on I-765 is a hit or a miss - sometimes they send it and sometimes they don’t. Best to just go to an SSA office.

In case of no appointments or delays, no need to worry, you already have the SS card anyway.

yes i have a social security number;  however,  the card is lost now.    Need updated/replacement card anyway.   thanks for feedbacks - will go to SSA office ..
