OP, I am not trying to be mean or condescending, but the fact that you're alarmed because his visa expires in two days without knowing what that really means is worrying for somebody that is adjusting status. I am assuming you don't have an attorney, otherwise you would direct the questions to him I think. 

Understand that not staying on top of your immigration journey can have serious consequences. Immigration is not for the faint of heart, or unprepared. Please do your due diligence and do some research. You'll be thankful for the time you spent reading later on.

No. AOS filing itself doesn't change the existing non immigrant status. Using AOS based EAD/AP for work/travel will void the existing status.

I mean you husband is still on B2 status but that doesn't matter. You have already filed i485. Even if his B2 expires, he will be on authorized stay period, so don't worry.

Why? If he filed a proper I-485, it will not matter if his B2 status expires.  He is granted authorized stay. Did you file an I-130?

The fact that you don’t know what that is shows that you didn’t do any research whatsoever. You also are not answering our questions about which exact forms you filed. I usually don’t say this but I think it’s best if you hired a lawyer to assist you in this process.

Maybe it’s just me however when people come asking questions providing bare bones information and extracting further information from them in order to provide accurate answers becomes like pulling teeth, I think such people are best of paying attorneys to do the lifting for them.

 

You either put in the work and do proper research, or pay an attorney. No free lunch in life

Please give us a complete history. You filed to adjust status, what forms did you file and what did you include. You state you received a " A letter was recieved saying deficiency notice" but don't tell us what it is. Then you state you received a letter saying to wait for an interview. We cannot help you without information and calling USCIS will be useless as they cannot advise you.

Amen to that! And I add: nobody, not even your attorney, cares about your immigration journey as much as you do, so you might just as well do it on your own. Yes, I know it takes time. And money. But try getting a lazy attorney and see how much time and heartache you save.

Not understanding even basic things about the immigration process tells us that you’re one of the few who might benefit from a lawyer- someone who can assist with helping you to understand the forms and timelines involved.   

 

Not doing research and becoming educated about AOS/EAD/AP/B2 etc leads to delays and denials.

@Dalila1185 can you tell us which forms you submitted with your AOS packet and are you a US citizen or a LPR (green card holder?)
