Oath Ceremony Descheduled

I went to the USCIS office for my oath ceremony in mid-Oct in ATL, only to learn that I have been descheduled. The USCIS officer said she called to inform me the day before (yes, I got the voicemail and thought it was spam). Their reason is that their routine background check within 24 hours of oath ceremony revealed that someone else was mistakenly assigned my Alien Number by another US gov agency. Officer told me they have to remove said person from my alien number but it will require investigation. This is not my fault but I am the one with a stalled oath ceremony.

Any ideas on how to approach this? or has this happened to anyone before?

I am thinking of contacting my congressman because it has been 2 months and no re-scheduling on my end. Or should I get a lawyer?

Here is my timeline

July 2020 - Applied for citizenship as a 5year+ permanent resident in Philly

June 2021 - Interview in Philly, case moved to ATL

Oct 2021 - Invitation for oath ceremony in ATL

June 1st - Filed for GC and EAD
Mid July - Requested for EAD expedite with tier-1 rep
July 29th - Sent evidence in response to RFE for expedite EAD request
July 30th - Called USCIS to follow but tier-1 rep refused to transfer to tier-2
July 31st - Called USCIS again and got to tier-2 rep, who hastily said they have to check for RFE evidence
August 3rd - Called USCIS again. Tier 2-rep said she cannot share whether they have received my evidence or share the status of my case because it is sensitive. She shared an address (above) that I can write to and hung up!

even if u hired an attorney or contacted Senator,  u would still wait for immigration to clear the problem

this is just another "hurry up and wait"  immigration issue

just Thank God you're almost done with immigration

I would at least talk to a lawyer. Sounds to me like they admitted fault for something that is negatively affecting you. Seems like something a lawyer can help with. Again, just talk to one.
