3 years .I don’t know if I should cancel the application start a new one or keep waiting for them to call me any idea on how to proceed.

Good afternoon

hey I have a question my fiancé‘s visa has been an AP processing for over a year and it shows that his application expired on the CEA website , but the ambassy in Haiti told me the case was still under review that was a month ago in December  . now the last time I called   Haiti ambassy   again on 1/14 /22  to get a status the agent told me to hold on and then when she came back on the phone she asked me did they keep  my fiancé’s  passport and I told her yes and then she said just wait we will call you does that mean that they close to giving him the visa , the process is so confusing

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

There is always hope.  Good luck.

the AP can be long but u r a victim of the earthquake in 2021 and all the damage done to government buildings that hold the key to supply the embassy with needed security reports

on top of offices being in lockdown or semi lockdown because of covid issues

and now,  the unrest from the kidnapping of the 17

very unfair to u,   yes,  have u thought to get help from ombusman?

What is encouraging is u talked to embassy and they have the case (they can extend the time) and they have not denied it and sent it back to the US
