How does one jerk who is on the board of a teachers union make all mandate people mentally ill.

I am not pro mandate except for the military, but it looks to be a most point. Biden's mandates are getting shot down left and right

Your paranoia is not my kids or my problem. Put your kids in a bubble if you are that paranoid. You don't get to stick a needle in my kid's arms so that you don't have to feel paranoid with your kids in the same place as my kids. You do however have the choice of not allowing your kids to be in the same place as my kids. That's how freedom works. By the way in the state of Wisconsin (I would guess it is the same in most other states) there is no legal requirement (though they tell us otherwise) for any child to have any vaccine to attend public school. All you have to do is fill out a waiver form which they don't tell anyone about.

Wow. So bringing back Polio small pox whooping cough just to name a few are a good idea.

You have the choice to get your kids their required vaccinations to attend a school facility or fill in a waiver, as they always have been, or educate your children elsewhere in a setting that you'd feel more comfortable in. If you're going to accuse parents of paranoia for not wanting their kids to be around your unvaccinated kids, keep in mind that not vaccinating your kids is also incredibly paranoid from their perspective. 

 

But if you'd like complete control over your children's exposure to the world, vaccinations, and education, you can choose to educate them at home.

 

Also the waiver thing in the state of Wisconsin isn't some hidden thing.. it's literally in this first sentence of the requirements? https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/immunization/reqs.htm Sounds like they are telling people.

Talk about a strawman argument. So the way you are framing it (correct me if I am wrong) is if every child isn't forced to be injected with whatever the state deems necessary polio, small pox and whooping cough will come back and forced injection of every child or an outbreak of all sorts of horrible diseases are our only choices. I couldn't disagree more.

Sure it's on their website. The school your child is attending isn't going to be as forthcoming about it though. The nurse at my sons school swore up and down the vaccines are required for everyone attending public school in Wisconsin. She even told me there was no waiver form. When I presented one to her she said she was unaware of the waiver (I'm sure that was a lie).

You did the due diligence and followed the requirement. If they wouldn't accept the document, then you'd have a problem, but otherwise?

 

What I'm saying is honestly if vaccination and largely educational subjects in schools is such a problem for people all of the sudden there are options out there. Options that those in conservative Christian communities not only advocate but definitely imply is every parent's responsibility to do - which is to educate their kids themselves at home - that way there is little argument with the state. I have a hard time rationalizing why parents with such objections aren't doing so in the first place for some time.

So you agree then that for my kids to hypothetically go to school with NB's kids they do not in fact have to be vaccinated?

If the school and the state has that waiver then yes certainly they could. I make no comment however if that is a moral or ethical thing for a parent to do. I had quite a different upbringing than most, to the point as I've said above, I'd just suggest parents start taking more of an involvement in their kid's education. Its the moral thing to do rather than potentially exposing others to physical harm not vaccinating presents (and likewise if you feel your kids would be harmed by exposure to some educational measure in the school). As Christians that would advocate homeschooling would say: you can't want to be a part of the 'world' and expect it to conform to your standards or expect others to not object. Simply eliminate the issue by doing it yourself.

Back to the topic at hand. Is there no one that is disturbed by the fact that an NEA board member is talking this way?
