~ Moved from K1 Case Filing & Progress Reports to Student visas ~

Of course they’ll know. You’re free to try but I don’t see how you can show you don’t intend to immigrate to the US with a K1 pending.

What type of studies are you pursuing with the F1?

It's going to depend A LOT on that. I know people that were married to US citizens and got F1 visa, but they had scholarships for graduate studies at top universities.

If you want an F1 visa for a community college or something that would not make sense (e.g. you want to study something unrelated to your background), then most likely you won't get the F1.

Because you are not married, the F1 can be seen as trying to avoid waiting for the K1 and being able to get to the US to marry+AOS without the K1. If that's what you are trying to do, don't. That last thing you need is a denied visa.

Also, don't lie about what you applied for and your intent. You can get a ban for misrepresentation and if you don't, your K1 can be look at more carefully when you get to the consulate interview portion.
