Expedite question

Hey everyone,

I hope everyone is good :)

Just a quick question; my fiancé’s father is due to move out and her being a single mother is difficult as she has work early in the morning so she now has no one to help with her child being taken to and from school (no family apart from her father)

Will this be a plausible reason to expedite our case as this is putting her into a difficult situation as she suffers from depression and anxiety also

Please any advice will help us out a lot

Need a little more info... is your fiance the petitioner (US citizen) or the beneficiary?

The reason is because the reason for expedite is usually under extenuating circumstances to the US citizen, not the beneficiary.

But still worth a try. Just be sure to document and provide evidence for the reasons. A simple call and ask may not suffice.

Thank you so much for your response!

My fiancé is the US citizen and honestly we wanted to wait with everyone else (especially as it’s been 9 months so we’re very close) but this unforeseen circumstance is going to prove very difficult for her as she works early in the morning and she literally has no family to help her

Yeah, all we can do is try and hope for the best

Thank you once again, it’s really appreciated

Even if she applied to have the case expedited,   she needs help with the child now

and u can't get here fast

if she has a good income,  she can hire a sitter

if she is of lower income ,  there is child care help

The Child Care and Development Fund provides assistance to low-income families who need child care due to work, work-related training and/or attending school. Hey, thank you so much for providing this information, I’ll let her know as we didn’t know about this

This is definitely helpful in this situation :)
