I guess because the man doing it is usually an "MK" (mullah's kid), so dad hides him from prosecution (just like Ejaz ul-Haq got out of prosecution of a DUI--where he was guilty--in 1983; admittedly, Ejaz's dad wasn't actually a mullah, but...). Edited July 11, 2007 by CherryXS

It appears that the guy still gets off just a little lighter than the gal (but not by much). I'm not quite sure of the logic behind the differences in burial technique, but being buried up to your neck seems like it is worst than being buried up to your waist. I guess someone was worried about the gal's titties being accidently exposed during the stoning. That's the only reason I can think of for the different "treatment".

Well, I guess if you know what the penalty is before you commit the crime, then there's not much complaining anyone could do. I respect countries that at least have a set punishment for crimes. Our country is luck of the draw.
