RFIE i-864 help

Hello everyone! Yesterday i got an RFE for i864 and i have a question for the refile. 

If the co-sponsor had a dependant in 2020 (last tax return filed), but no longer in 2021, the Household size, should it be with or without that dependant?

The dependent is included in the I-864 household count.

Hi @therek. I had a similar situation so want to help out if I can. I sponsored myself, my husband and my parents so there was a total of 4 of us. Don’t over count anyone!
Write exactly how many dependents are on the tax return so on the form…it would be you, the dependent, and sponsor so 3 people? (If no one else added). On the last page add in notes- explaining how they had a dependent the previous year but won’t have one for this year. The poverty line for 3 people is $21,960, so as long as your sponsor makes more than this a year you should be fine!

From the OP it sounds like there wont be a dependent going forward starting in 2021.  if the income is not enough for 3 then maybe 2 is the way to go as it is actual going forward.
