Even more confused, no physical green card, how she got the stamp? at the time of the interview? plus it's been over 1 year of her stamp if so it is invalid to enter.

Needed more explanations, don't fully understand how CR1 route works.

OP said : Hi my wife received  her green card in June of 2020.  She had to fly back to her home country while the green card was in processing. I assume this is where people are saying she has been out longer than 1 year.

I could not see when she had left, just that it was more than 6 months, if 18 months well that is a lot longer than 6 months.

I am sure the OP meant she came in 2021.   Based on his previous posts he doesn't seem to have a good grasp on Immigration.  If she left June 2021 then she doesn't need the green card to return to the US as the stamp on her Visa is good as a "green card".   She needs to return prior to that one year or if she has the green card the one year to her departure.

 

Another good reason to fill out a timeline.
