Seems like most people just grab one when they come up.  Not sure one can pick and choose these days.

I understand the current situation. Our application was expedited for medical reasons and my husband isn't well enough to travel to the interview right now. I'm just asking if more dates will be released next month. Is that how it works? Thank you.

Before covid,  they would open up another month with plentiful dates near the end of the month. There was never more than 2 months to choose from. For example: on December 4, one would find dates for December and January. As the month went on, it was mostly January dates left. By the last week of December, they would open February.

it hasn’t worked like that in over a year. The embassy totally shut in 2020, then partially reopened, then were minimally staffed. K1 finances who were the bulk of “pick your own date” were not being processed at all so no need for a calendar with dates. Anyway what you see is the norm for all of 2021. Mostly zero dates, and sometimes one or two would pop up. You need to grab one while you can or just wait until he is ready and then start looking.

Is there a particular month you are wanting?

Out of curiosity, can you post what dates you saw available?

Thank you for the information. There were about 7 dates between December 7-16. We were hoping for a date later in January or beginning of February.  We'll just have to keep checking for other dates to open because those ones in the next couple weeks are impossible right now.  Thanks again.

So you didn’t really need an expedite? Did he finish and get DQed at NVC?

When you get a date,  you might want to then schedule his medical appointment the day before and spend the night so he doesn’t have to make separate trips to London. Or his interview will be morning so a medical exam the same afternoon. He will not be approved until his medical results arrive and they get around to picking up his case again. But that will probably be easier on him if he is ill.

He’s also going to have to take a brief summary of his illness to the medical written by his GP. It would include when started, treatments, meds, and if still ongoing his prognosis.

Here’s the link to the medical clinic with a list of items to take. Prepare ASAP because some GPS are s-l-o-w to help you.

Thank you for the information.  Our expedite request was approved last week and our info was sent to the Embassy. We didn't get DQ'd by NVC. They just forwarded everything to the Embassy & then we received the email to schedule his interview appointment. We have letters from neuro already. We just weren't expecting everything to happen so fast after his expedite was approved. Under normal circumstances, it would be brilliant. I feel terrible that I'm concerned about an appointment being too soon after all the waiting.

No worries. You never know how the timing will go in immigration. You just plod on and it eventually all works out.
